On Sunday 9th April 2017 the honourable home minister of India Mr.Rajnath Singh along With Actor Akshay Kumar and others launched ” BHARAT KE VEER “a web portal and mobile application. This Web portal and mobile app enable donors to contribute towards the family of Indian armed forces who lost their life in the line of duty.

This is a great initiative taken by the Government of India. Here we the common people of India can donate some amount of money to the family of Solders who sacrifices their lives so that we feel safe and secure. Before this, if a common Indian like us who is willing to help the families of martyrs had to face a lot of legal procedure to get the bank account numbers of the Martyr’s family. But the now the name and bank details of all the Martyr’s nominee is made available at one point and we can donate any one or more than one families. The amount will be directly credited to the nominee account. Here is the some of the key features from the government Press release.

The site “Bharat ke Veer” will be available on web portal as well as mobile application. The amount so donated will be credited to the account of ‘Next of Kin’ of those Central Armed Police Force/Central Para Military Force soldiers. This domain allows anyone to financially support the Bravehearts of his/her choice or towards the “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus.

This website is technically supported by National Informatics Centre (NIC) and powered by State Bank of India. To ensure maximum coverage, a cap of 15 lakh rupees is imposed and the donors would be alerted if the amount exceeds, so that they can choose to divert part of the donation to another braveheart account or to the “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus. “Bharat Ke Veer” corpus would be managed by a committee made up of eminent persons of repute and senior Government officials, who would decide to disburse the fund equitably to the braveheart’s family on the need basis.

The Bollywood actor is the man behind the idea of  “Bharat ke Veer” web portal and mobile apps. Two months before the Actor release a self-made video and put his idea among the people and personally meet with home minister and put his views. The Government of India took this request in consideration and within two and a half month the portal is ready.
